We're Not In Kansas Anymore!

Greetings!
First of all, I want to thank all you loyal readers
who resubscribed to this new list. It is great to have you along.
Have
you been feeling unsettled, or moody lately? Maybe you are forgetting
things or feeling unfocused, or maybe you have unusual aches and pains.
This sort of thing has been happening to just about everyone I talk to
recently. Something is changing and it is big! As Dorothy said in the
Wizard of OZ, "We're not in Kansas anymore!"
The reason I bring this up is that many of the strange symptoms people
are having are nothing to worry about. I just read a quote from Hilarion
today that makes things pretty clear:
"The
energies that you
have been transmuting on a continual basis come in cyclic waves and
right now the Cosmic energies have been pouring down upon this Planet
and then the process of clearing and releasing will start again. Each
wave of new energy moves each person into a deeper purge than before
and this is an uncomfortable process but one that must be experienced
by all."
We
can see it in world financial and political turmoil as well as in our
own bodies and relationships. The purge is on. Have you ever had a
healing crisis? Seems like the whole world is going through a big
healing crisis right now. Ultimately that's a good thing, but it is
never much fun to be in the middle of it. So breathe, relax, and know
that it is all part of a healing process. All is well.
This month I'm on a new learning curve as I switch from my old
newsletter program to AWebber. In some ways it offers more flexibility
and control,
but in other ways it is more complicated, though I think it will get
easier as I get used to it.
I'm sure you will find lots of wonderful information in the articles
below. When you

Pets and Kids - A Healthy Combination
As
an animal lover, I really liked finding this article posted on
RenegadeHealth.com saying that a "study
published in Clinical &
Experimental Allergy in 2011 [ ] found that infants younger than one
year who lived with pets were less likely to develop allergies than
children who acquired them later in life. In fact, boys and girls
exposed to cats during infancy were 50 percent less likely to be
allergic to them later, with the same being true of boys and dogs.
(Oddly, this was not found to be true with girls and dogs.)"
Since my new grandson is constantly being watched over by a big German
Shepherd, it's good to know he is in good paws!

A
Cute Little Chakra Video
If
you don't mind listening to a robot talking about chakras, which are
energy centers in the body, this youtube video is a good introduction
to the concept of chakras and how to keep them clear and balanced.
Chakras are widely recognized in Eastern traditions, particularly in
India. Each chakra is associated with different organs, emotions,
endochrine glands, and colors.
As part of your energy body, Chakras are essential to your physical and
emotional health, so it makes sense to give them a little attention now
and then to make sure your energy is running smoothly through your
body. This video gives some good tips on how to do that. One really
good tip is to get a Reiki session. Better yet, get a Reiki Attunement
so

A Few Words About
Toilets
I've
got to hand it to nutritionist Shawn Stevenson. He doesn't shy away
from talking about poop and he doesn't fall into
silly kindergarten humor.
(I have to admit I fell into a bit of that as I
thought about titles for this article, i.e. "Poop du Jour," "The Poop
Scoop," etc.) But you will find grown-up wisdom with a significant dose
of
scientific research behind Stevenson's presentation.
Frankly,
I think Stevenson offers the best explanation I've ever heard about why
the
standard American toilet can be dangerous, causing anything from
constipation, hemorrhoids, appendicitis, diverticulitis and colitis, to
colon cancer. Stevenson even explains why humans need to use toilet
paper. I have always thought that was strange, since
other mammals don't use it.
In
this podcast Stevenson answers all your questions related to:
- Why
most people are constipated.
- What
can cause blood in your stool?
- Why
squatting is more natural for the body.
- What
causes hemorrhoids and how to treat them.
- Contributing
factors to colon cancer.
- What
is diverticulosis of colon?

The
problem is mainly in the angle of the rectum. Our bodies were not
designed
to sit on a "throne" while defecating. We were meant to squat.

course, a change in your toilet set up is not going to compensate for a

Can Cherry Juice Help You Sleep?
According
to this Daily Burst of Energy article, "cherry juice increases levels
of the sleep-regulating hormone melatonin in the body."
Two ounces of
cherry juice concentrate half an hour before bedtime will do the trick.
Now that's something to look forward to.
