Wow! January zoomed by so fast it’s hard to believe it is already over. I don’t know about you, but I sure feel a huge sense of relief knowing that many of our environmental protections are being reinstated and the climate crisis is finally being taken seriously. The health of our planet is the foundation of our own health and the health of every living thing for generations to come. We need to take care of it!
Did any of you participate in Veganuary? I sign up every year, just to support their efforts – even though a lot of their recipes are not made with whole foods. The program has a positive impact on the environment and of course on the lives of animals. You can sign up at any time of the year, but January is when they make their big push.
I was really excited to find a homeopathy course you can take at no cost to help you prepare for any flu or contagious bug that comes around. There are a few basic remedies to keep on hand that will be useful in case you find yourself feeling under the weather. They also have a really helpful facebook group called Homeopathy 247.
Then we take a look at how avoiding meat and other animal products can help relieve asthma, the best way to check your blood pressure, and the effect of mineral deficiencies on attention deficit and hyperactivity. Good stuff!

To your health and happiness!

Homeopathy for Flu and Epidemics – Free Course!
Curious about homeopathy? Or interested in learning how to protect yourself from the latest bug? Here’s an excellent course you can sign up for at no cost! What a great gift at a time when so many people are at a loss to know how to protect and heal themselves.
Homeopathy gets a bad rap from the medical system, because science has not determined how it works – and of course there’s not much money to be made with homeopathic remedies. Fortunately for us, we don’t have to know HOW it works. We just have to know that it does.
I have been using homeopathy for decades – long enough to know that it often works like magic, as long as you have the right remedy to fit your symptoms. Not only that, it has NO toxic side effects. You won’t find one pharmaceutical drug that can make that claim!
I had a nasty case of poison oak that was driving me crazy for days. It totally stopped itching about ten minutes after taking the right remedy. My allergic reactions to bee stings were stopped in their tracks, and countless times Arnica pellets relieved the pain of a sprain or bruise.
The key is to match the remedy with your presenting symptoms, not to a diagnosis, and this course will teach you how. I highly recommend it.

If you would you like to prepare yourself and learn more about buying, storing and using homeopathic remedies to use for Flu (or any flu epidemic symptoms) then this information is for you.
If you would you like to feel more confident about how to choose the right remedies, then this course is for you.
If you already have a few homeopathic remedies but haven’t used them with Flu symptoms before, then this information will be useful to you.
If you don’t know anything about using homeopathy for first aid applications at home then this is a great place to start.

Meat & Childhood Asthma
I think most people know about the connection between dairy products and asthma, and maybe even the egg connection, but this is the first time I’ve heard about the meat connection. It makes sense now that it has come to my attention.
If you are a parent of a child with asthma, there are a lot of dietary measures you can take that will help, in addition to soothing their emotional issues. Removing the animal products and sticking with a whole plant foods diet can go a long way toward healing just about any health problem. It looks like asthma will benefit as well.
By the way, those inhalers that doctors hand out so frequently have serious side effects, including possible death! Save them for life threatening situations, please.
From sciencedaily.com
“We found that higher consumption of dietary AGEs, which are largely derived from intake of non-seafood meats, was associated with increased risk of wheezing in children, regardless of overall diet quality or an established diagnosis of asthma,” said Jing Gennie Wang, MD, lead author of the study, and a former fellow in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Correct Way to Check Blood Pressure
Did you know that blood pressure readings can be different between your left and right arms? Or that the difference could reveal your risk of death? I had no idea until I read this article.
Of course, anyone following a low-fat whole-plant-foods diet with minimal salt is very unlikely to have high blood pressure. It is mainly a diet of fatty animal products that clogs up the arteries causing blood pressure to rise. But it never hurts to check your blood pressure now and then, even if you are eating a super healthy diet. High blood pressure can kill!
From naturalhealth365.com:
Internationally-recognized cardiovascular guidelines currently recommend checking a person’s blood pressure using the right and left arm. However, research indicates this isn’t always done, perhaps due to perceived time constraints. The new study in question, based out of the University of Exeter, strongly indicates that the two-arm check should become standard procedure. [ ]
The greater the difference in blood pressure from the right and left arm, the greater the risk of death and overall health complications from cardiovascular disease, including stroke and heart attack. Even just 10 millimeters of mercury (mmHg) difference between a person’s two arms indicated increased cardiovascular risk.
Iron, Magnesium, Zinc & ADHD
Here’s a fascinating collection of studies showing how mineral deficiencies can contribute to Attention Deficit & Hyperactive Disorder. It is not surprising that ADHD is so common in our modern world, since so many kids live on refined junk foods. Not only that, our farmlands have been stripped of minerals and only the basic minerals needed for plant survival are added back to the soil.
From naturalhealth365.com:
[A] study published in the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine found that 84% of kids with ADHD had significantly lower iron levels compared to only 18% of control group children. Lower levels of ferritin were associated with worse ADHD symptoms.
The article goes on to say that:
A magnesium deficiency can cause irritability, mental confusion, and a decreased attention span. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, some experts state that children with ADHD may actually have a mild magnesium deficiency. [ ]
A study out of Poland found magnesium deficiency in 95% of the ADHD children they examined.
And then there is zinc! Apparently, lead toxicity can interfere with zinc absorption. On top of that, our soils are now woefully deficient in zinc, so just about everyone who does not take a zinc supplement is at risk of zinc deficiency. I take Good State Ionic Zinc Sulfate just about every day and I’ve noticed a dramatic improvement in my immunity (important to pay attention to when there is a rampant “bug” going around).
The article continues:
A 2004 study found that supplementing with zinc helped reduce hyperactivity, impulsivity, and impaired socialization symptoms. Zinc sulfate is usually well tolerated.
A 2009 meta-analysis discussed the role of zinc and its essential role in more than 100 enzymes. Also noted was that dopamine is one of the most important factors in the pathophysiology of ADHD. Since melatonin helps regulate dopamine and zinc is necessary to metabolize melatonin, zinc is an important factor in treating ADHD.
[ ] Children are exposed to chemicals, metals, and other environmental factors that can alter their mineral levels. For instance, fluoride in water can increase lead absorption, so it’s important to detoxify if necessary.
I highly recommend the Medical Medium Heavy Metal Detox, either as a smoothie or just eating the 5 detox ingredients each day:
- Spirulina (Vimergy is best by far)
- Wild Blueberries (find them in the freezer section)
- Fresh cilantro
- Atlantic dulse (seaweed)
- Barley Grass Juice Powder (Vimergy is best) – https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/heavy-metal-detox

So now I spend my time creating courses, blogs and tools to support citizens of the New Camelot in their ongoing quest for vital health, abundant wealth and the magic of the faery realm (which is woven into the fabric of the New Camelot like silver threads of wonder).
I am also passionate about protecting Nature, educating people about a healthy whole plant foods diet, artistic creativity, graphic design, connecting seekers with the faery realm, Celtic and Arthurian lore, writing, painting and gardening.
