Ants - a kind way to remove them
I don’t like to hurt anything, and I believe in respecting all life, so when my kitchen was invaded by ants, I decided to look for a way to tell them that I didn’t want them there, without doing them any harm. I had tried using telepathy before without very good results. This time I grabbed a spray bottle of water with a bit of lavender oil added. I use it as an air freshener, so it was already there in the kitchen. I just sprayed a light mist over the wall and counter where they were milling around. A couple of minutes later they were gone!
I was amazed. I thought they might not like the smell, but to have them totally vanish in a matter of minutes was much more than I expected! And I didn’t even have to hurt any of them.
Try it and let me know how it works for you. This may be a great discovery!

Ant Update - I’ve had a few stragglers appear each day, but when I reapplied the lavender spray, they went away. I don’t know if lavender could keep the ants away from something as tempting as a jar of honey, but the combination of keeping the counters clean, putting food away, and using the lavender spray has averted a full-blown ant invasion.
